Google AdSense Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

At botleneckcalculator.com, we want the site to be useful, fast and honest. This page explains how advertising works on our website, what it means for your privacy, and what choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

1. Why We Show Ads

The Bottleneck Calculator, FPS Calculator, PSU Wattage Calculator, tier lists and guides are free to use, and no account is needed. Advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense, helps us pay for hosting, hardware data research and ongoing development, so these tools can stay free.

2. How Google AdSense Works on Our Site

Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show and measure ads. Depending on your location, your settings and the consent you give, ads may be personalised using your visits to this site and other sites, or they may be non-personalised and based on the page you are viewing.

To learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

3. Your Calculator Inputs Are Not Used for Ads

The CPU, GPU, resolution and game settings you choose in our calculators are processed in your browser to produce a result. We do not sell them, and we do not send them to advertisers to target ads.

4. Cookies and Your Choices

You can control advertising cookies in several ways:

  • Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before personalised ads are used. You can change your choice at any time through the consent options on the site, if shown, or by clearing your browser cookies.
  • You can manage or turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of many third-party ad networks at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators will still work, but you may see more generic ads.

5. Clear Separation of Ads and Content

We aim to keep ads clearly separate from the site itself. Ads should never be mistaken for calculator buttons, results, FPS numbers, navigation links or download buttons. Calculator results and recommendations are never changed because of an advertiser, and we do not hide ads inside tool controls.

6. Please Do Not Click Ads to Support Us

We never ask visitors to click on ads. Please click an ad only if you are genuinely interested in it. We do not click our own ads, use bots or tools to create artificial impressions or clicks, or offer rewards for clicking. Invalid ad activity can lead to ad accounts being disabled, and we take that seriously.

We do not control the content, products or privacy practices of advertisers or of external websites that ads or links may take you to. Please review their own terms and privacy policies. A product shown in an ad is not a recommendation from us. Our hardware guidance is based on benchmark data and the methods explained on our How We Calculate page.

8. Children

Our site is meant for a general audience of gamers and PC builders and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Policy Compliance

We aim to follow the Google Publisher Policies, the Google AdSense Program Policies and applicable laws. If we find content or ad placements that do not comply, we will correct or remove them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this page when our site, our advertising setup or legal requirements change. The new date will appear at the top of the page.
